Organizations Minimize

Parish Ministries and Organizations


St. Mary's welcomes all parishioners to participate in parish ministries and organizations. If interested, call the rectory.

 Altar Servers:
Organization of all youth, grades 5 through high school, who wish to take an active part in the celebration of the Mass and other sacred ceremonies.

Alumni Association:
Individuals who went to school at St. Mary's, had family attend the school or any interested person.

Catholic Daughters:
Women dedicated to strengthening their spiritual life through Christ and His Church. Members participate in social and charitable activities.

Catholic Youth Organization (CYO):
Organization for youth, ages 11 through 14, who participate in intermural sports and activities.

Choirs:
Traditional Choir at 10:00 am; Contemporary Choir at 12:00 noon; Family and Friends at 4:00 pm on the first and third Saturdays; Children's Choir at 4:00 pm on the fourth Saturday. All are welcome to join a choir and share their gift of music during our liturgies.

Colored School Memorial:
Preserve the history and memory of St. Mary's Colored School, provide annual scholarship to St. Mary's School and increase the opportunity for parish religious education.

Eucharistic Ministers:
Assist the clergy in distribution of communion at Mass and minister to the shut-ins.

Finance Council:
Assists the pastor in the administration of the parish.

Gabriel Project:
Assists pregnant women in crisis.

Lectors:
Proclaims the Scripture at Masses.

Social Concerns Committee:
Assists needy parishioners.

Youth Ministry
Students, grades 9 through 12, participate in continuing religious education, service projects and social gatherings.



School Organizations

Home School Association:
Assists the Principal in various activities and school service projects.

School Advisory Board:
Assists the Principal.
